Week 3 -Thing #7

Sharing photos online is an wonderful opportunity to stay in touch with families that are scattered all over the globe.  The concern, of course, is family privacy.  I hope the benefits outweigh the risks.  This issue has prompted me to question each word and picture that I post.  

Our students trust site controls designed to protect their privacy.  As adults, we know that unscrupulous folks can invade the best defenses. School librarians have an obligation to teach, monitor, and demand responsible use of computer applications, new and old.
